Matters of interest:
Human rights, especially of disadvantaged groups such as people with disabilities, people affected by discrimination and violence.
Addressing gender violence: Harassment and sexual assault in schools and workplaces;
Promote gender equality and solutions to solve the problem of environmental pollution; gender stereotypes in the media; majority-minority relationship; university administration and autonomy.
Activities:
Organize contests to raise the awareness of school sexual harassment at the Information and Communication Technology University (ICTU). Integrate content about school sexual harassment in soft skills subject discussions for students. (starting from attending WIL 2)
Established a fanpage about preventing school sexual harassment for ICTU students since 2019, attracting 1,151 likes and 1,251 page followers. The fanpage regularly publishes articles and content related to students’ soft skills products, especially the products of students in the competitions related to school sexual harassment and gender violence prevention. Implemented the project “Strengthening capacity to improve learning ability and social integration of students with disabilities (SWD) at ICTU”. The project is funded by the Australian Alumni Foundation.
Organized 06 groups of ICTU students to participate in the Ding-Dong competition, launched by the CSAGA center in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). Call for initiatives to support women experiencing gender-based violence in the context of COVID- 19. Results: 5 prizes (01 first prize, 01 second prize, 02 consolation prizes, 01 interactive prize).
